Josh has been advising media & entertainment companies since the mid-1990s, and commenced coverage of the education service & technology sector in 2000. In 2002, after 14 years of combined investment banking and corporate law experience at leading Wall Street firms, Josh formed East Wind Advisors, LLC with a view towards bringing “bulge bracket” – quality services to emerging growth, lower middle-market and late stage venture companies. Prior to forming East Wind, Josh worked for over seven years as an investment banker at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. From 1998 to 2001, Josh was a Managing Director in Bear Stearns' Media & Entertainment Investment Banking Group, where he initiated and led the firm's education & training practice and advised companies operating in various sectors of the media industry, including broadcasting, programming, and cable. From 1994 to 1998, Josh worked in Bear Stearns' Emerging Markets Investment Banking Group, where he led teams responsible for raising over $1 billion of capital for Latin American companies. From 1987 to 1994 Josh was a Corporate Associate at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Josh is a Board member of ParentChild+ and American Friends of HAC Jerusalem.
Josh graduated cum laude from Colgate University with Honors in Philosophy and graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law.
