East Wind acted as exclusive financial advisor to Wireless Generation (renamed Amplify Education, a division of News Corp.) in a convertible bond financing from W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Wireless Generation makes Web-based software that allows educators to track student progress and tailor instruction individually. W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Mission Driven Investments (MDI) program has dedicated $100 million of its endowment for investments in nonprofit and for-profit entities that advance its mission and generate both social and financial returns.
